This is big crappie season!
Every year around this time, the crappie school up at the shallow end of a nearby retention pond. Since figuring this out, I have been at that pond trying to catch those barn door size slabs.

Had a chance to get out on Virginia’s Pamunkey River over the weekend.
We knocked out close to 23 miles over the weekend and had a grand time.
Ordinarily, I would be a happy camper to spend a few days exploring this area.
This particular trip is now stretching into 4 weeks. Today is my third day off for the 23 days I have been here.
I am a person who needs to spend a bit of time outside every now and again! We have been locked away in a windowless room, sequestered; trying to make sure the taxpayer is getting the best bang for the buck!
The past few days I have been doing my annual clean up and maintenance on my outdoor gear. Part of that is deciding what to do with some of that stuff.
