Yikes, a beautiful fall day just makes you want to be outside doing stuff!
Last night after some wheeling and dealing, I was able to negotiate a day of fishing out of Midge. Actually I think she prefers that I get out of the house when it’s nice outside.

We needed a new thermometer for our Kamado Joe JoeTisserie grilling adventures.
Yes, it is finally Friday, the weekend is almost here!
Yesterday, I tried a new barbecue joint, and tried the pulled pork sandwich from their menu. It wasn’t bad, it was flavorful, but there was no evidence of any smoke.
Today we’re doing another Kamado Joe JoeTisserie chicken.
Tropical Storm Hermine is tracking away from coastal Virginia and the backyard has been cleaned up and is back in order, –mostly.
Scott and I were itching to get out for a weekend fishing trip. It had been over a month since we had done a river fishing trip. The last trip being down this very same river, — the Rivanna.

Taking a few days off from work while Midge is out of town. Mostly I am dog sitting.
Today was shaping up to be on the cooler side of the 100-degree mark. We have experienced about 2 weeks of temperatures north of the “feels like” 100 degree mark. There was a chance of rain later, but I wanted to get outside and get in a bit of fishing.
