Today was shaping up to be on the cooler side of the 100-degree mark. We have experienced about 2 weeks of temperatures north of the “feels like” 100 degree mark. There was a chance of rain later, but I wanted to get outside and get in a bit of fishing.
The Nottoway was on my short list, I wanted to paddle farther upstream than my last outing on this river. So I got up early, loaded up the gear, and headed on out the door.
I was hoping that the recent Amazon Prime day would have discounted the JoeTisserie. Unfortunately for me there were no JoeTisserie discounts today.
So I ordered one anyway for my Kamado Joe Classic. It was $263.94, including taxes, when I clicked Amazon’s “Buy it now with 1-Click” button. I ordered it Friday and it arrived the following Tuesday.
Today was one of those Plan B days!
I had planned to get up early and head out fishing for some quality outdoor time! But that was not to be the case today.
The weatherman said that today was going be the best day of the weekend.
With that bit of information, I hurriedly loaded up my Tarpon 140 fishing kayak on the truck along with the usual assortment of rods and baits.
